Baseball News:
The 2010 SF Heat baseball season is well on its way and we’re doing well. We have a great atmosphere where we are learning and playing great baseball. Coach Erik is providing terrific instruction and the kids are responding well. Praise God for our player lead prayers and devotions.
We are in the Independent Athletic League for baseball which we are 1-0-1 and 6-0-2 overall. Yes those are ties which in middle school we play for 2 hours and/or 7 innings.
We are lead by the 8th graders: Patrick our catcher and captain, Elijah our 2nd basemen, Zach in left and DJ at third or first
In 7th grade we are stacked with Kevin our pitcher, Cameron at 1st, Frankie in center and Alex playing short and pitching.
Our 6th graders are great group with Santos in left and Diego in right. We also have Stefan and Dante developing their baseball skills.
We’re planning on being the number one seed in this year’s tournament.
Our future: we will have a JV team next year and with the Heat starting football we may be able to gain in overall players. This will allow us to add to the players that have graduated and maybe field a varsity team next year as well.
