Dear HEAT Family & Friends,
The Community Ministry Committee had a wonderful day last Friday (22 Aug)! First we coordinated with Amphion Communications to video interview Coach Bob, record the cross country athletes in action and record the community ministry students entertaining at a retirement facility! Carlos Arenas, Amphion Communications, plans to integrate these images in a video package and host it on his up and coming website that will highlight organizations that make a positive impact in Broward County!
In the future, Mr. Arenas plans to conduct a studio interview with HEAT members and to feature the HEAT periodically on his website!
He got to see a broad spectrum of the HEAT and was totally blown away with the HEAT concept and our students in action. In fact, Mr. Arenas was so impressed with the HEAT that he is going to tell his friend who homeschools his daughter about the HEAT! God continues to bless the HEAT!
Once again my hat is off to Katelynn T. and her community ministry team (Gabe T., Elisha T., Brittany J., Chelsea J., Leah B. and Joseph H.) who once again blessed the residents at the retirement facility. Each month the crowds are bigger and the residents continue to tell (politely demand - smile) the students to come back next month to perform again! There is a godly joy that both the students and the residents get from these events. True ministry is taking place!
In Christ,
Greg Johnson
